Summary

MC Shapes is a browser-based tool for planning Minecraft circles, spheres, and domes. The core generators need no account and no personal details — you type a size and get a blueprint. Three optional features do involve data you give us: the AI Build Generator, which sends your text prompt to a third-party model; the launch waitlist, which stores the email address you submit; and the feedback form, which stores what you choose to tell us. All three are described below.

Tool Data Processing

Shape size, fill mode, layer controls, and preview interactions are processed in your browser to render the current blueprint view. This data powers the tool experience and is not treated as user account data.

AI Build Generator

When you submit a prompt to the AI Build Generator, that text is sent to a third-party large language model provider, which generates the structure and returns it to us. Do not include personal information, real names, or contact details in your prompt — treat it as text leaving our servers.

To keep the free tier available and block automated abuse we also process:

  • your IP address, for rate limiting and daily quota, retained for 24 hours;
  • the mc_cid cookie described below, to count usage per browser;
  • a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which verifies you are not a bot. Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser signals for that check under its own privacy policy.

We do not attach your prompts to an account, because there are no accounts.

Technical Logs

Like most websites, our hosting and network providers may process basic request metadata such as IP address, user agent, and access logs for security, anti-abuse, and operational reliability.

Cookies and Local Storage

We store limited UI preferences in your browser, for example theme mode settings, and whether you recently answered or dismissed the feedback prompt, so it does not ask again for 30 days. These live in local storage on your device and are not used by us to identify you as a person.

We also set one first-party cookie, mc_cid, when you use the AI Build Generator, join the waitlist, or send feedback. It holds a random identifier with no personal information in it, is marked HttpOnly, and expires after twelve months. We use it to apply daily usage limits fairly and to recognise a repeat waitlist signup. Deleting your cookies removes it and resets those limits.

Third-party cookies set by Google Analytics and by advertising partners are described in the sections below.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use MC Shapes. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as the pages you view, approximate location derived from your IP address, device type, and browser, so we can measure traffic and improve the tools. You can opt out across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

We also use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookie-less service that measures aggregate traffic without tracking individual visitors or storing personal data.

Launch Waitlist

The AI Build Generator offers a waitlist for paid passes that have not launched yet. Joining is entirely optional and no payment details are ever requested. If you join, we store:

  • the email address you enter;
  • which pass you expressed interest in;
  • the mc_cid identifier and the date you signed up.

We use this only to email you once when passes launch, including the early-bird discount code we promised. We do not sell this list, share it with advertisers, or add you to any other mailing. Your IP address is held for 24 hours purely to limit signup abuse, then discarded.

To be removed from the list, or to ask what we hold about you, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with and we will delete your entry.

Feedback

Every page has an optional feedback form, and the AI Build Generator asks whether each result matched your prompt. Nothing is sent unless you click a rating or press Send. When you do, we store:

  • your rating, any reasons you selected, and your message;
  • your email address, only if you choose to enter one;
  • the page you were on and what the tool showed at the time, such as the shape, size and fill mode, or for AI results the prompt and a summary of the generated build;
  • your browser’s user agent, window width and language, the mc_cid identifier, and the date.

Each submission is also emailed to us so we can read it promptly. We use feedback only to fix problems and decide what to improve, and we only use an email address you entered to reply to that message. Your IP address is used for 24 hours to limit abuse and is not stored with your feedback. To have a submission deleted, email [email protected].

Advertising

We may use third-party advertising companies, including Google, to serve ads when you visit MC Shapes. These companies may use cookies and web beacons to measure ad performance and, where permitted, to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

  • Google, as a third-party vendor, may use cookies (including the DoubleClick advertising cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting your Google Ads Settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads.
  • You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at https://www.aboutads.info/choices.

Third-Party Services

Beyond analytics and advertising, this site relies on:

  • Vercel — hosting and edge network, which processes request metadata.
  • Upstash — the datastore holding waitlist entries, feedback submissions, and short-lived rate limit counters.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — bot verification on the AI Build Generator.
  • Cloudflare Email Routing — delivering feedback submissions to our inbox.
  • Large language model providers — processing AI Build Generator prompts.
  • CDN and font assets required for rendering.

Each processes network metadata according to its own privacy policy.

Your Controls

You can clear local storage and site data at any time in your browser settings. You can also block cookies or third-party requests using your browser’s privacy controls, extensions, or network-level filters.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy when product behavior or service dependencies change. The latest version will always be shown on this page with an updated date.
